
Man indicted in Gadsden bank robbery
A federal grand jury indicted a Gadsden man in relation to a bank robbery.According to the U.S. Attorney's Office in Birmingham, the two-count indictment charged Edward Brown, 41, with armed bank robbery and being a felon in possession of a firearm.A news release stated the Exchange Bank in Gadsden was robbed in March 2023.The U.S. Attorney's Office said Brown is prohibited from possessing a firearm because of a prior felony conviction.The maximum penalty for both counts is 40 years in prison.
