A Northport man is in jail charged with possession of a homemade bomb and drugs.According to court records, Northport police were called on July 17 to the Publix on Highway 69 North to check on a man who was passed out in a vehicle. Officers say that they found Briar Chance Wilson, 27, with a syringe in his arm and they called for medical aid. He was then taken to Northport DCH for treatment. Officers also reported finding methamphetamine and drug paraphernalia in the vehicle.A look at the opioid crisis: State of AddictionBefore sending the vehicle to impound, investigators were doing inventory and found a homemade destructive device made of a mason jar, combined Tannerite, nails and staples.
