Lippes added that her outfit was created by some of "America’s finest craftsmen" and he takes great pride in showing such work to the world. The first lady paired her outfit with a navy hat from Eric Javits. Back in 2017, Melania Trump's arrival sparked debate with some designers refusing to dress the incoming first lady. Javits said dressing the first lady with his navy hat was the greatest honor of his career.
