A new French fine dining concept is coming soon to downtown Birmingham. Rêve, a fine dining concept specializing in French cuisine, will be opening at The Pizitz Food Hall in 2025.
About Rêve

Earlier this year, I met with Chef Jacob Stull to learn more about his new popup concept Rêve. A descendant of French immigrants, Chef Stull has spent his life surrounded by French cuisine.
Chef Stull earned his culinary chops at several restaurants along the East Coast and the historic Brennan’s Restaurant on Royal Street in New Orleans, where he studied under famed Chef Slade Rushing.
After opening two unique concepts within Tuscaloosa’s Alamite Hotel, Chef Stull moved to the Birmingham area for his latest concept: Rêve.
Opening at The Pizitz Food Hall in 2025
According to a release, Rêve will be opening its first brick-and-mortar location at The Pizitz Food Hall next year. Rêve will take over the anchor space previously occupied by Fero.
At Rêve’s new location, diners can expect elevated French comfort food with seasonally rotating three-course, five-course and 10-course tasting menus. The restaurant will also feature a dessert program from an in-house pastry chef with rich, classic dishes like:
- Coq au vin
- Steak tartare with caperberry,
- Truffle and crostini
- Warm soufflé au chocolat made with Olive & Sinclair’s “bean to bar” chocolate sourced from Nashville, TN
