New Orleans architecture, engineering firm names new CEO

WDG Architects Engineers, an architectural and engineering company headquartered in New Orleans, has announced the appointment of Kevin F. Moran as its new CEO.

Moran, who previously served as the chief operating officer, “brings a wealth of industry experience and a proven track record of success to his new role,” according to a news release.

Moran has been with WDG for eight years.

“Kevin has demonstrated exemplary leadership, dedication, and expertise within the company,” the news release reads. “Throughout his tenure, he has displayed a deep commitment to the firm’s values and a passion for delivering proven results. His ability to navigate complex challenges and his devotion to innovative design solutions has consistently positioned WDG as a trusted partner for clients seeking architectural and engineering services.”

“I am honored and excited to assume the role of CEO at (WDG),” Moran said in the news release. “I look forward to building upon our successes while leading with a strategic vision promoting innovation, collaboration, and client-centricity.”

As CEO, Moran will oversee the strategic direction of the firm, working with the team at WDG to expand its market presence, drive innovation, and deliver design solutions. According to a spokesperson, the firm has 24 employees in total, 19 in their New Orleans office and five at their San Antonio, Texas office.

“We are thrilled to have Kevin assume the role of CEO,” Ronn P. Babin, founder of WDG, said in the news release. “His extensive experience, unwavering commitment to excellence, and exceptional leadership qualities make him the ideal candidate to lead WDG. We have full confidence in his ability to guide our firm to new heights while maintaining our commitment to delivering proven results.”

Moran is replacing Babin.

The firm has projects based in the U.S., Canada, Mexico and the U.K.

According to their website, WDG was founded in New Orleans in 1989 as a commercial architecture and engineering department within a larger organization. Notable local projects by the firm include MSY food courts, MSY Lounge, New Orleans Public Belt, Turn Services and New Orleans Main Library.
