New Orleans Jazz Fest to expand in 2024

The New Orleans Jazz & Heritage Festival has announced the addition of an extra day to the 2024 festival.

According to a news release, the annual event will now begin on Thursday, April 25. This creates two equal four-day weekends: Thursday, April 25–Sunday, April 28 and Thursday, May 2–Sunday, May 5, 2024.

Jazz Fest is held at the historic Fair Grounds Race Course and features more than 5,000 musicians across 14 stages. The festival also showcases food, clothing and crafts. Launched in 1970, the festival annually draws almost 500,000 people to New Orleans.

According to organizers, additional information on the 2024 Jazz Fest will be released in the coming months.
