One killed, two injured in early morning multi-vehicle crash near Fairfield
Five vehicles were involved in a fatal crash on I-59/20 near Fairfield early Saturday.The Alabama Law Enforcement Agency said the collision happened just before 4 a.m. March 8, about one mile north of Fairfield.ALEA said Juanita Salery, 23, of Birmingham, was driving a Honda Accord, when it collided head-on with a Hyundai Tucson.State Troopers said the Accord then collided head-on with a Jeep Compass.The Accord struck a fourth vehicle, said ALEA, and a fifth vehicle was damaged due to road debris.ALEA said Salery was taken from the crash scene to UAB Hospital, where she later died.Two other drivers were injured and were getting medical treatment.Deep dive: WVTM 13 Investigates
