One-on-one with Miles new head coach Chris Goode

I want to ask you, why was Miles the place for you to come? Why are you the man here for Miles? When it came available and then, you know, it was thrown up on me and saying, hey, are you interested in I did *** prayer the night before and say, hey, let, let me, you know, show me which way you know I need to go, you know, if it's to be the head coach or just continue to relax, and that's what I was looking at doing, just kind of relax and doing nothing, but, you know, it's *** once in *** lifetime opportunity to do, you know, become *** college coach. This is *** big challenge for anyone taking this job following Coachha and what he built in his time here, uh the best season, 10 win season, D2 playoffs. Why did you feel you were ready for this challenge? *** lot of people would have ran from it. But you, you came here. I look at it because I always had challenges in my life, you know, and everything, you know, even from playing college football, going into the NFL, being in college, coach telling you're one of the best DBs, but we can't start you, ended up getting drafted, got into the NFL and had *** lot of guys that were in front of me after my first year, second year, guy got hurt, I got in, did well, had an interception, and next thing I know I'm starting my whole career, so and have. And you know, in college, tearing my ankle up and the doctor telling me I would never play again. So it's been, it's been *** challenge and that's something I always look forward to when somebody's challenged me to something, you know, I'm always say to myself, they don't know what they're talking about, you know, because I know what type of determination I have. But how would you define what your program will look like, what you hope this team will look like in the years to come? I hope it continue to build, you know, the way Sam Shade has had it, but we want to keep winning, we want to keep getting more guys in here. One of the things that I'm kind of looking at right now. Now is go out and the guys that are going do you want and just go to them and say, hey, you know, come here, you know, why not. One of the biggest things when I listen to your introductory press conference, which you use the word believe *** lot. You ask people to believe, you said to believe. What is it that you believe Miles can be? What is it you would like these fans, this community to believe in and believe in you. I, I believe and I know that we could be one of the premier D2 schools, and that's one of the things that we're gonna try to build here as *** program and coach.
