People escaped house fire in Birmingham before roof collapse
No one was hurt after a fire caused significant damage at a house in Birmingham Sunday.The Birmingham Fire and Rescue Service reported firefighters were called to the 1700 block of Winewood Road just after 1 p.m. and found a two-story house with lots of smoke.As fire crews worked to put out the fire, the roof collapsed.The fire department said the people inside were able to escape in time and everyone was okay.The cause of the fire is being investigated.Stay up-to-date: The latest headlines and weather from WVTM 13
