WHEN THEY ARRIVED, OFFICERS SAY THEY FOUND THE 75 YEAR OLD MAN, CHRISTOPHER SMITH, DEAD FROM GUNSHOT WOUNDS. POLICE SAY THEY TOOK ONE PERSON INTO CUSTODY AND DETAINED WITNESSES. At approximately 6:30 a.m., officers received a call reporting a shooting in the 8200 block of Jackson Avenue.
Upon arrival, they discovered 75-year-old Christopher Lee Smith of Leeds, who had sustained apparent gunshot wounds and was pronounced dead at the scene.
