A Pinson Valley High School student died Thursday following a medical emergency.The student, a senior member of the basketball team, suffered an unspecified medical emergency while at school according to Pinson Valley Principal Michael Turner.Life-saving efforts were immediately started and first responders were called to the scene but the student was later pronounced dead at an area hospital.Stay up-to-date: The latest headlines and weather from WVTM 13 The school will not be publishing the student's name at this time out of respect for his family."We will have more to say in the near future," said Turner.
