AT SIX, JUST 13 SHAUN. YEAH, JUST 13. CAN YOU IMAGINE IT? WE WERE JUST SO IMPRESSED BY THIS HUGE DISPLAY. WE HAD TO FIGURE OUT WHO WAS BEHIND IT. WE FIGURED MAYBE AN ENGINEER WAS DOING THIS. DEFINITELY NOT A 13 YEAR OLD. WHO’S IDEA WAS THIS? OH, MY IDEA. MEET 13 YEAR OLD TED LEAHY, WOBURN. BIGGEST HALLOWEEN DISPLAY DESIGNER. WE PUT A MERMAID ON THE FRONT ON THE FRONT MAST, HOLDING A LANTERN. HE’S PIRATE SHIP CRASHING INTO THEIR HOME, TAKING UP THE ENTIRE LAWN. THIS IS THE TOP MAST. IT’S 2020 FIVE FEET. WE HAVE THE CROW’S NEST AT THE TOP. THE TALENTED TEEN BUILDER EVEN MADE IT SAFE AND SECURE THAT MAST MADE OF PVC PIPES ANCHORED IN THE GROUND WITH CONCRETE. EVEN THE CANNONS WILL FIRE. COME HALLOWEEN NIGHT. WE HAVE CANNONS THAT WILL SHOOT A SMOKE DURING HALLOWEEN. PEOPLE HAVE THOUGHT THAT THIS CAME IN A KIT, BUT NO, I PLANNED IT, DESIGNED IT ALL THE FAMILY HAS HAD BIG DISPLAYS BEFORE, BUT NOTHING LIKE THIS. LAST HALLOWEEN HE DREAMED UP THE IDEA OF A PIRATE SHIP AND GOT TO WORK THIS SUMMER BUILDING IN THE BACKYARD. OUR NEIGHBORS, WHEN HE WAS BUILDING IT THIS SUMMER, THOUGHT THAT WE WERE PUTTING AN ADDITION IN THE BACKYARD BECAUSE THEY HEARD HIM NAILING FOR DAYS. SO I EXPLAINED, NO, IT’S A PIRATE SHIP. IT’S COMING SOON. PULLING OUT ALL THE STOPS TO MAKE IT PERFECT, EVEN GIVING HIS MOM A FRIGHT, CLIMBING ONTO THE ROOF TO GET THAT SKELETON JUST RIGHT. I CAME HOME AND IT WAS ACTUALLY DARK AND HE WAS PUTTING THE SKELETON UP THERE, SO I WAS INCREDIBLY NERVOUS. BUT LUCKILY HE GOT DOWN SAFELY. A LITTLE SPOOKY FOR MOM TOO. YES, DEFINITELY. YOU WERE UP ON THE ROOF. HOW DID MOM FEEL ABOUT THAT? SHE WAS VERY SCARED. SHE THOUGHT IT WAS NOT THE BEST IDEA, BUT WE GOT IT DONE AND I THINK IT’S WELL WORTH IT. YEAH, WE THINK SO TOO. YOU MIGHT BE WONDERING WHAT NEIGHBORS THINK ABOUT ALL THIS. WE’LL BE ASKING THEM. COMING UP TONIGHT AT 11:00.
