Reported road rage shooting in Jefferson County seriously injured man

A man was reported to have critical injuries after a shooting in a possible road rage incident.The Jefferson County Sheriff's Office reported that, according to witnesses, the victim and a passenger were traveling on Narrows Road on the afternoon of May 16 when they noticed a vehicle following them closely.Both drivers pulled over and the victim approached the driver in the other vehicle and they started to argue, said the JCSO.The sheriff's office was told that's when a shot was fired, striking the victim in the stomach area.At about 2:45 p.m., deputies were told the victim was at the Palmerdale Fire Station, where he was taken to UAB Hospital.Detectives are looking for a person of interest in this case.If you can help in this investigation, call the JCSO at 205-325-1450, option 2.
