Road in Pelham closed for chemical spill cleanup
Traffic along a Pelham road was closed after a chemical spilled Wednesday afternoon.The Pelham Police Department reported County Road 33 was closed from Word Drive to County Road 35 while the fire department cleaned up a concentrated cleaning product.That area is near city hall, across Highway 31.The police department said the spill was contained and a trucking company's hazmat contractor will clean up the remainder of the chemicals.No evacuation was needed and no injuries were reported.Stay up-to-date: The latest headlines and weather from WVTM 13
PELHAM, Ala. —
Traffic along a Pelham road was closed after a chemical spilled Wednesday afternoon.
The Pelham Police Department reported County Road 33 was closed from Word Drive to County Road 35 while the fire department cleaned up a concentrated cleaning product.
