Scott Cochran introduced as the new head coach of West Alabama

Exciting news on Friday. Scott Cocker named the new head coach of University of West Alabama, Ryan Hennessy, Julian Mitchell here, *** longtime assistant for Nick Saban, went over to Georgia with Tirby Smart, so *** huge hire here in West Alabama. *** big hire. One of the words he used in his opening press conference was pride. He's feeling prideful to be the head coach here and prideful to take on this challenge. But that starts to me that starts in doing that discipline, you know, getting in the classroom and getting good grades. I want guys to get degrees. I want when they come back, when they come back to the University of West Alabama, I want them to be just excited about. Walking through these doors than they are walking in on the first day. Cochran was there from the start of Alabama in 2007 with Nick Saban. Then he moved over to Georgia *** few years off, but now he's back, his first head coaching gig, and he's excited for the challenge. You never know, right, when that call is gonna come. You never know uh when your opportunity comes, right? This my journey, you you know where I've been, you know who I've worked for. Um, and I wouldn't be here without Coach Saban.
