WELL, WE ARE MORE THAN TWO WEEKS OUT FROM SANTA AND HIS CREW FLYING ON CHRISTMAS EVE, BUT RIGHT NOW YOU CAN CHECK OUT SOME OF HIS HELPERS IN ODESSA KMBC NINE TERISA WHITE STOPPED BY THE KANSAS CITY REINDEER FARM. THERE’S SOME NEW REINDEER IN THE RUNNING TO GUIDE SANTA’S SLEIGH THIS YEAR. THEIR NAMES ARE ZUZU AND CINDY LOU, WHO THEY ACTUALLY PARTICIPATE IN REAL COMPETITIONS WHERE SANTA PICKS HIS HERD. LAST YEAR, ZUZU WON A SPOT ON SANTA’S TEAM AND THEY’RE IN THE RUNNING AGAIN. KANSAS CITY REINDEER FARM IS LOCATED IN ODESSA, MISSOURI. IT’S BEEN OPEN TO THE PUBLIC FOR TWO YEARS, AND THE FARM HAS EVERYTHING FROM PIGS TO DONKEYS TO RABBITS. BUT THE MAIN ATTRACTION IS THE REINDEER, WHICH BRINGS THE CROWDS OUT DURING THE HOLIDAY SEASON. IF ONE WERE TO BE RUDOLPH, WHICH ONE WOULD IT BE? IT WOULD. YOU KNOW WHAT? IT WOULD PROBABLY BE CINDY LOU WHO? BECAUSE CINDY LOU WHO IS MORE OF A TAKE CHARGE KIND OF GIRL, AND SHE’S KIND OF THE BOSS OF ZUZU. ALTHOUGH ZUZU GETS MORE COOKIES, CINDY LOU, WHO IS A LITTLE BIT MORE PUSHY. BUT LAST YEAR ZUZU MADE SANTA’S FLIGHT TEAM FOR THE MIDWEST. A farm in Odessa, Missouri, is sharing some holiday magic with the community with its very own reindeer.Rudolph and company might be who come to mind when you think of Christmas, but here in Odessa, Cindy Lou Who and ZuZu Bailey are the stars of the sleigh.Miranda Ritter opened her farm to the public two years ago. Her reindeer may not have red noses, but that doesn't mean they don't bring the holiday spirit."People are really mystified by their eyes and their nose and the fact that they are really just like big puppy dogs," Ritter said.The farm also has pigs, donkeys, rabbits and more, but of course, the reindeer steal the show during the holidays. "A lot of people haven't seen a real reindeer in real life, and so it's really cool that we get to share this opportunity with them," Ritter said.
