Severe storms that barreled through Alabama blamed for at least four deaths in other states

With the severe weather threat behind us, we actually look forward to *** pretty nice Sunday. Rain on the way out early this morning, starting with temperatures in the 50s to near 60, but then look at this. In the afternoon, the wind turns toward the west, northwest, around 15 to 20 MPH, and it warms up toward the low and mid-60s. We're thinking 66 in the Tuscaloosa area, mid-60s around Birmingham. Lower 60s to the north, around Holly Pond and Huntsville, and then the next big thing is going to be *** trend toward much colder weather. Let's fast forward *** week from today. There will already have been *** surge of cold air that comes in for the upcoming weekend, Friday, Saturday, and Sunday, looking colder, but then, goodness gracious. Look what is headed this direction. *** strong Arctic cold front is going to drag the North Pole all the way down into the Southeast. We're talking very, very cold weather for the first part of the month of January. It's true, the first few days may be as normal as they come, but after that, things look really cold, and I mean potentially record cold. In some cases, by the time we get to around the 6th, 7th, 8th, and then on through about the 14th and 15th. Our 7 day forecast around here looks like this. We're gonna be in the mid-60s, Sunday and Monday, trending downward with cooler weather on Wednesday. No more significant rain this week, no more thunderstorms in the forecast, but that first pop of cold air, you're gonna feel it by Saturday.
