IN WHICH HE’S ACCUSED. IN RECENT MONTHS. A MAN IS DEAD. A FEMALE RUSHED TO THE HOSPITAL. UAB FIGHTING FOR HER LIFE AFTER A SHOOTING IN LEEDS. POLICE SAY THEY WERE CALLED TO MORGAN STREET, TRUSSVILLE, INSIDE THE LEEDS CITY LIMIT. SOMEONE CALLED THEM TO REPORT THE SHOOTING. SAY THE SUSPECT WAS STILL THERE. POLICE SAY THE OFFICERS WERE ABLE TO TAKE A SUSPECT INTO CUSTODY. THEY SAY IT DOES APPEAR TO BE A DOMESTIC SITUATION.

Law enforcement officers are investigating a double shooting in Leeds, in which one person was killed.According to a Leeds Police Department social media post, officers responded to the 700 block of Morgan Street just before 1 p.m. after someone called saying a person was shot.Officers arrived and found two people suffering from gunshot wounds inside a house.The police department said a male victim died at the scene and a female was taken to UAB with life-threatening injuries.Officers took a suspect into custody.Leeds Police believe this was a domestic-related incident and if anyone has information to share, please call 205-699-2581.
