Rain returns to Alabama's forecast to end the week, Impact weather on Saturday

ANOTHER ROUND ON SATURDAY, BUT THIS IS WHAT WE’RE LOOKING AT RIGHT NOW IN THE SATELLITE AND RADAR. IT’S BEEN A CLOUDY AND SPRINKLY DAY ACROSS ALABAMA. WE’VE SEEN A MIX OF SPRINKLES, SHOWERS AND MIST. MOST OF THAT ALREADY CLEARING OUT ACROSS ALABAMA NOW, BUT JUST LOTS OF CLOUD COVER, COVER OVERHEAD, AND THIS SYSTEM WILL BE THE FIRST WAVE. IT’S RIGHT NOW OVER TEXAS, LOUISIANA AND ARKANSAS. THERE’S EVEN SOME TORNADO WARNINGS AND SEVERE THUNDERSTORM WARNINGS WITH IT. BUT BY THE TIME IT GETS TO ALABAMA, IT WON’T BE NEARLY AS STRONG. THIS IS 4 A.M. FRIDAY MORNING. NONE OF THIS SEVERE, JUST HEAVY DOWNPOURS, SHOWERS AT TIMES. AND THIS WILL BE IMPACTING PORTIONS OF NORTHWEST ALABAMA AT THIS POINT IN TIME. SO HAMILTON, MARION COUNTY, WINSTON, FRANKLIN, LAMAR, FAYETTE, WALKER, PICKENS, TUSCALOOSA COUNTIES. AND THEN AS WE MOVE INTO 7 A.M., GETTING UP ON YOUR WAY OUT THE DOOR, WAKING UP, AND THEN IT BECOMES A LITTLE BIT MORE WIDESPREAD, STARTING TO CROSS THE I-20, I-59 CORRIDOR. AND THEN IT CONTINUES TO PUSH EASTWARD THROUGH NOON TOMORROW. NOW, THE FURTHER SOUTH YOU GO, THE MORE POTENTIAL FOR A COUPLE OF ISOLATED STORMS, ESPECIALLY DOWN TOWARDS GREEN, SUMTER, AND HALE COUNTIES. BUT NONE OF THAT SHOULD BE SEVERE. AND THEN AS WE MOVE INTO 2 P.M. OR AFTER 2 P.M. INTO 7 P.M. FRIDAY, MOST OF THIS AT THIS POINT IS NOW SOUTH OF I-20, IMPACTING PARTS OF TALLAPOOSA, COOSA, BIBB, CHILTON, PERRY, AND DALLAS COUNTIES. BUT BY THE TIME WE GET TO 3 A.M. SATURDAY, WE’RE DRY. MAYBE A FEW LINGERING SHOWERS, BUT WE DO GET A BREAK FROM THE RAIN, AND I’M CALLING IT A BREAK BECAUSE ANOTHER WAVE IS RIGHT BEHIND IT. THIS IS THE SEVERE RISK FOR SATURDAY. SATURDAY, ONCE AGAIN IS AN IMPACT DAY. A HIGHER CHANCE THE WEATHER WILL IMPACT YOUR DAY. WE HAVE A LEVEL THREE IN PLACE FOR PICKENS. PARTS OF GREENE AND SUMTER COUNTIES. THAT INCLUDES ALICEVILLE, EUTAW, GEIGER AND LIVINGSTON. THE THREATS INCLUDE STRONG WIND GUSTS, HAIL, AND WE CAN’T RULE OUT THE POTENTIAL FOR A TORNADO THAT LEVEL THREE IS ON A FIVE SCALE, AND WE’LL SEE NUMEROUS STORMS WITH THOSE THREATS AS WE MOVE INTO SATURDAY. THAT LEVEL TWO IS MORE OF A SCATTERED RISK AND A FEW ISOLATED STORMS THAT WILL BE SEVERE THE FARTHER EAST YOU GO. WHERE THAT GREEN LEVEL ONE MARGINAL RISK IS IN PLACE. SO LET’S LOOK AT WHAT WE CAN EXPECT FOR SATURDAY. THIS IS 8 A.M. A FEW ISOLATED DOWNPOURS TO START THE DAY. THOSE WILL BUILD AND STRENGTHEN THROUGH 2 P.M. SATURDAY WITH THE HEAT OF THE DAY. AND THOSE WILL MOVE NORTHWARD JUST NORTH OF BIRMINGHAM BY 2 P.M., IMPACTING PARTS OF LAKE COLEMAN AND BLOUNT COUNTIES, MARION COUNTIES. BUT HERE COMES THE SQUALL LINE AS WE MOVE INTO SATURDAY EVENING. THIS IS 6 P.M. THIS IS WHEN THE STRONGEST STORMS START TO ENTER FROM THE WEST, IMPACTING PORTIONS OF MARION, LAMAR, WINSTON AND FRANKLIN COUNTIES. THIS IS 11 P.M. GETTING READY TO CROSS THE I-65 CORRIDOR AND THAT SQUALL LINE IS IN EAST ALABAMA. BY 2 A.M. SUNDAY, AND THEN WE ARE LEFT WITH SOME LINGERING SHOWERS BEFORE NOON ON SUNDAY. HERE’S ANOTHER LOOK AT THAT TIMELINE. 4 P.M. TO 11 P.M. FOR NORTHWEST ALABAMA. THE SHOALS, MARION, LAMAR, WINSTON COUNTIES BETWEEN 9 P.M. AND 12 A.M. MIDNIGHT. FOR COUNTIES LIKE THE WESTERN END OF JEFFERSON TUSCALOOSA, THE WESTERN END OF BIBB, GREENE, HALE, SUMTER COUNTIES, AND THEN CONTINUING EASTWARD AS WE MOVE THROUGH SUNDAY MORNING. AND THEN HERE IS A LOOK AT THE RAINFALL WE’LL SEE FROM ANYWHERE BETWEEN 3 AND 4IN WHEN EVERYTHING IS SAID AND DONE, INCLUDING BOTH FRIDAYS AND SATURDAYS RAIN. MOST OF THAT RAIN IMPACTING PORTIONS OF MARION COUNTY, FRANKLIN COUNTY. AS I’VE BEEN MENTIONING THROUGHOUT THE FORECAST. AND OF COURSE, GREEN HILL AND SUMTER COUNTIES. HERE’S YOUR SEVEN DAY FORECAST. TO KIND OF RECAP FRIDAY. TOMORROW WE WILL BE BREEZY. A GOOD BIT OF RAIN, NOTHING SEVERE. THAT CHANGES SATURDAY WHEN THOSE STORMS STARTS TO APPROACH ALABAMA THROUGH THE DAY INTO TONIGHT OR SATURDAY NIGHT INTO EARLY SUNDAY MORNING. AND THEN WE’RE CLEAR AND DRIER MONDAY AND TUESDAY AND A LITTLE BI
