Tonight: Light to moderate steady rain will fall area-wide with temperatures hanging out in the 40s. Rainfall totals should range from 0.5-1” for most places.
Monday: A few light showers will linger into the morning commute mainly for areas along and southeast of I-20. Clouds will hang around for much of the day with some sunshine peeking through during the late afternoon as highs reach the lower 50s.
This Week: Zonal flow in the upper-levels of the atmosphere will provide a gradual warming trend with fairly quiet weather over the next several days. A few weak disturbances will pass through this flow, throwing periods of clouds our way and perhaps a sprinkle on Wednesday and Thursday. Otherwise, our weather is focused on the warming temperatures with highs pushing near 60° on Tuesday and surpassing it on Wednesday as many locations climb into the low/mid 60s.
The timing of this weekend’s cold front has sped up nearly 24 hours, now appearing to arrive on Friday. Therefore, rain chances have increased for Friday afternoon and evening with heavy rain and a few rumbles of thunder likely. Severe weather is not anticipated with this system. Saturday is now trending drier with zonal flow remaining behind the front and allowing temperatures to stay mild in the upper 60s through next weekend.
