
HUNTSVILLE, Ala. (WHNT) — The Huntsville Police Department says one person was injured and his father was arrested in a shooting Monday afternoon.
HPD said around 2:34 p.m. officers responded to the 3900 block of Wilkes Place on reports of a shooting.
The department said once on the scene officers made contact with a man who had been shot in the leg during what he described as a dispute with his father.
According to HPD, the father, identified as Charles Petty, was arrested at the scene and taken to the Madison County Jail.
The victim was taken to Huntsville Hospital by HEMSI with non-life-threatening injuries.
