Space heater to blame for house fire in Blountsville area

13. ALL RIGHT, ZOE, THANK YOU. WELL, FIREFIGHTERS SAYING A SPACE HEATER LEFT A BLOUNTSVILLE HOME ALMOST FULLY ENGULFED. ENGULFED IN FLAMES LAST NIGHT. TAKE A LOOK AT THESE PICTURES. YOU CAN SEE FLAMES SHOOTING OUT FROM THE WINDOWS AND THE DOOR. AND THE HEAVY SMOKE COMING FROM THE HOME. THIS IS WHAT FIRE CREWS FROM MULTIPLE DEPARTMENTS WERE MET WITH WHEN THEY RESPONDED TO THE HOUSE AROUND 8:00 LAST NIGHT. FIRE OFFICIALS SAY IT TOOK NEARLY THREE HOURS TO GET IT UNDER CONTROL. A fire seriously damaged a house in Blountsville Saturday night.According to information from the Blountsville Fire and Rescue Department, fire crews were called just after 10 p.m. and found the one-story structure filled with smoke and flames.Firefighters were able to contain the fire and prevent it from spreading to the garage and two bedrooms, said the fire department.The blaze was under control in about 50 minutes.The fire department said a space heater caused the fire and no injuries were reported.Your neighborhood: Local coverage from WVTM 13

BLOUNTSVILLE, Ala. —

A fire seriously damaged a house in Blountsville Saturday night.

According to information from the Blountsville Fire and Rescue Department, fire crews were called just after 10 p.m. and found the one-story structure filled with smoke and flames.
