Steinway & Sons, a leading producer of quality pianos and keyboards, has rebranded the Hall Piano Company with the grand opening of Steinway Piano Gallery of New Orleans.
The remodeled piano gallery and showroom is located at 901 David Dr. near the David Drive Plaza strip retail center and the Jefferson Parish First Parish Court.
The new showroom offers a complete line of Steinway pianos including the Steinway Spirio high resolution player piano and specially designed Boston and Essex pianos to incorporate budget-friendly options.
“Given the incredible musical heritage of New Orleans and the long legacy of Hall Piano Company, we are very proud to welcome Steinway Piano Gallery into the Steinway family of showrooms,” Gavin English, president of Steinway & Sons Americas, said in a news release. “For decades, Steve and his staff have represented the Steinway brand with consummate professionalism and integrity. We’re very grateful for their partnership.”
Renovations to the showroom include an experience space titled Spirio Jewel Box, a recital hall and selection room.
“We’re still locally owned, and we’re the same ownership and family operation that’s been here since 1958,” Steve Kinchen, president of Steinway Piano Gallery of New Orleans, said in a news release. “The exciting thing for us is that this is a complete remodel of our showroom. We built out a unique Spirio Jewel Box and a dedicated recital space. We’re looking forward to welcoming the community to our beautiful new gallery.”
According to Kinchen, overhauls for the Metairie showroom totaled a little over $500,000. Renovations included an aesthetic redesign integrating a new color scheme, permanent performance space, window display with custom graphics and special lighting, new interior floors, and exterior color change with new signage.
Design and concept was managed by Chris Miller with Pacific Store Designs. Cross Construction was hired as general contractor, and Big EZ Signs was hired for all interior and exterior signage upgrades.
