Storm damage in Shelby and St. Clair counties
ST. CLAIR COUNTY, Ala. —
A dangerous storm system crossed Alabama late Saturday into Sunday, bringing wind damage and intense rain.
In Shelby County there were trees down and structural damage, according to the Shelby County Emergency Management Agency. Its survey on Sunday morning found several structures with damage and numerous trees down stretching from El Gizra Road off Highway 280 in Harpersville to County Road 60 in Vincent. The agency said trees are down in other areas of the county but no other structural damage reported. There were no injuries and no one displaced from homes.
The St. Clair County Emergency Management Agency surveyed structural damage and trees down in the Cropewll area and on Wolf Creed Road South. There were no injuries reported.
The National Weather Service will be surveying damage in both counties on Monday.
