The words of Governor Kay Ivey. Sweet home Alabama just got *** little sweeter today. The governor signed *** bill declaring the yellow Hammer cookie as our official state cookie. During the bill signing Montgomery fourth grader, Mary Claire Cooke brought *** batch to Ivy in her office. Now, after *** taste test, the governor gave it her official stamp of approval.
