ZACH SIMS WAS REPLACED AT QUARTERBACK BY AN EIGHTH GRADER BY THE NAME OF TRENT SEABORN, AND HE WENT ON TO WIN THE SEVEN EIGHT STATE TITLE. THEY BOTH CAN DO UNIQUE THINGS. FREEMAN ISN’T READY TO NAME A STARTER FOR HIS SEASON, BUT IS EXCITED TO HAVE THEM BOTH ON THE ROSTER. BUT THEIR TEAMMATES ARE SO GOOD TO HIM TOO, AND THEY KNOW IT’S A STRUGGLE. WELL, YOU YOU CAN’T HIDE FROM THESE KIDS. YOU KNOW WHAT IT’S LIKE TO BE THE STARTING QUARTERBACK, GETTING INJURED, A GUY COMING. HE GETS THE PLAYING TIME AND WE CAN’T RUN FROM THE FACT THAT EVERYBODY YOU KNOW, NO STRENGTHS OF A GOOD FOOTBALL PLAYER. BUT I ALSO CAN’T RUN FROM THE FACT THAT I THINK ZACH SIMPSON DOES A LOT O

Mark Freeman and the Warriors have won four state titles in 7A. They hope to make it five straight in 2023. Mark Freeman is considered one of the top coaches in the state of Alabama. Before Thompson, he was the head coach at Bessemer Academy and Spanish Fort. Freeman is telling his team they have to keep being hungry for more in 7A football."We have to hunt, we have to be the hunter," Freeman said.Thompson opens up its season Aug. 25 against Opelika at home.

Mark Freeman and the Warriors have won four state titles in 7A. They hope to make it five straight in 2023.

Mark Freeman is considered one of the top coaches in the state of Alabama. Before Thompson, he was the head coach at Bessemer Academy and Spanish Fort.

Freeman is telling his team they have to keep being hungry for more in 7A football.
