Tuscaloosa bridge repair project to begin May 30

TUSCALOOSA, Ala. —

Expect to see lane closures on and near Jack Warner Parkway Bridge.

The Alabama Department of Transportation (ALDOT) stated in a news release that repair work will begin on May 30 to repair the bridge.

ALDOT reported the bridge was struck in September 2022 and damaged concrete and a girder.

The contractor will close the Jack Warner Parkway eastbound inside lane on the bridge for the complete three-week project.

Highway 82 lane closures near the bridge will happen between 8 p.m. and 5 a.m.
