A woman was killed in a New Year's Eve shooting in Tuscaloosa.

Police said it happened just after 8:30 p.m. on Joyce Lewis Lane.

Brittany Bolden, 34, was killed. Police arrested her boyfriend, Lovelle Rodgers, and charged him with capital murder.

The reason it is a capital murder charge is because their kids were present at the time of the murder, police said.
