Two men charged in 2022 street racing crash injuring nearly 20 people
Two suspects face multiple charges in a reported street racing and exhibition driving crash in 2022.The Birmingham Police Department stated Marvin Puerto, 19, of Birmingham, and Brandon Waller, 24, of Mulga, face six warrants each for assault.The police department said more than a dozen people were hurt in a vehicle crash on John Rogers Drive on the evening of Dec. 9, 2022.The BPD believes Puerto was allegedly street racing with a Nissan 350Z when it collided with a Dodge Charger doing burnouts, allegedly driven by Waller.Both suspects were booked into the Jefferson County Jail.
