Two people died in a crash on I-65 in Shelby County.The Alabama State Troopers said two vehicles collided about 8:23 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 11 in the northbound lanes near the Cahaba Valley Road exit.All lanes were closed during the evening as the investigation continued.The Shelby County Coroner's Office said two people died in that crash and identified those people as Tyrek Howard, 22, and Elias Andino, 21.The coroner's office said Andino was driving a vehicle when it struck the vehicle being driven by Howard.The Alabama Law Enforcement Agency is the investigating agency.All lanes were reopened by Sunday morning.Follow: Interactive traffic map

Two people died in a crash on I-65 in Shelby County.
The Alabama State Troopers said two vehicles collided about 8:23 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 11 in the northbound lanes near the Cahaba Valley Road exit.
All lanes were closed during the evening as the investigation continued.
The Shelby County Coroner's Office said two people died in that crash and identified those people as Tyrek Howard, 22, and Elias Andino, 21.
The coroner's office said Andino was driving a vehicle when it struck the vehicle being driven by Howard.
