Urban nature trail planned in downtown Gadsden

The city of Gadsden has received financial support for a new urban nature trail.According to a news release, the U.S. Department of the Interior awarded Gadsden nearly $3 million to help develop the Downtown Gadsden Greenway.The city stated that this phase of the project will be a multiuse urban nature trail built on a former railbed that runs along Tuscaloosa Avenue and connects to the Black Creek Trail System.“This is a game-changer for Gadsden,” said Ford. “Just six months ago, we approved the GROW Gadsden comprehensive plan, which included this proposed trail ...
