Vestavia Hills man convicted after federal trial on child pornography charge
A Vestavia Hills man was found guilty in a federal child pornography legal case.According to U.S. Attorney for the Northern District of Alabama Prim Escalona, Eugene Reid III, 48, was recently convicted on a charge of distribution and transportation of child pornography.U.S. Attorney Escalona stated the evidence showed Reid took part in illegal activities on the Kik messaging application in various private groups during the first half of 2020.Reid faces a maximum of 20 years in prison, plus a maximum of five years supervised release after the prison term.
