BIRMINGHAM POLICE AND JEFFERSON COUNTY DEPUTIES RESPONDED TO 26TH AVENUE NORTHWEST JUST AFTER 830 WEDNESDAY NIGHT. WHEN THEY ARRIVED, THEY FOUND 20 YEAR OLD JEFFREY ROBINSON, WHO HAD BEEN SHOT. The Jefferson County Sheriff's Office has identified the man killed on Christmas night.

Around 8:30 p.m., deputies responded the 2600 block of 6th Street Northwest in Center Point on reports of a person down.

Upon arriving in the area, deputies found 20-year-old Jerry Robinson suffering from a gunshot wound in the 500 block of 26thAvenue NW, just around the corner from the initial address they were sent to.

Birmingham Fire and Rescue Services responded to the scene, and pronounced him dead.
