Wet weather makes a return to begin the work week

IN HER PROGRAM. EXCLUSIVE LIVE RADAR TRACKING STORMS. SO YOU’LL KNOW. FIRST, THIS IS WVTM 13 WEATHER. PRETTY DECENT WEATHER OUT THERE THIS SUNDAY. SAW THE CLOUDS INCREASE LATER IN THE AFTERNOON AFTER A SUNNY START TO THE DAY. COMFORTABLE TEMPERATURES AS WELL, UPPER 70S AND LOW 80S OUT THERE AS WE BEGIN THE EVENING, YOU SEE THOSE CLOUDS INCREASING FROM THE WEST OVER THE LAST FEW HOURS. AFTER THAT SUNNY START TO THE DAY. BUT THOSE CLOUDS NOT BRINGING ANY RAIN. HOWEVER, BY THIS TIME TOMORROW, WE LIKELY WILL BE TALKING ABOUT SCATTERED SHOWERS AND THUNDERSTORMS RETURNING TO CENTRAL ALABAMA. 78 DEGREES RIGHT NOW IN BIRMINGHAM, 79. GADSDEN, 80 ANNISTON, 79. TUSCALOOSA, 78 DEGREES IN CLANTON. OUTDOOR PLANS THIS EVENING. THEY’RE JUST FINE. TEMPERATURES IN THE 70S EVENTUALLY FALLING DOWN INTO THE 60S. LATE TONIGHT. AND OVERNIGHT, LOW TEMPERATURES IN MANY SPOTS WILL BE IN THE LOWER TO MID 60S. 64 TALLADEGA ANNISTON, 62. GADSDEN, 66, BIRMINGHAM AND TUSCALOOSA 62 DEGREES IN CULLMAN. BUT LOOK WHAT WE HAVE IN STORE FOR US A FEW DAYS FROM NOW. WEDNESDAY MORNING AND THURSDAY MORNING. WE’RE GOING BELOW AVERAGE FOR LOW TEMPERATURES AS LOWER HUMIDITY WORKS IN. AND THAT MEANS READINGS DOWN INTO THE UPPER 50S BOTH WEDNESDAY AND THURSDAY OF COURSE, THE NORMALLY COOLER LOCATIONS NORTH AND EAST ALABAMA, LIKELY GETTING DOWN INTO PERHAPS THE LOWER TO MID 50S. SO NOT BAD AT ALL HERE FOR THE END OF MAY, A BIT OF A NORTH BREEZE OUT THERE RIGHT NOW, BUT THAT’S GOING TO TURN AROUND TO MORE OUT OF THE EAST AS WE HEAD INTO TOMORROW. THROW IN SOME EXTRA MOISTURE, A LITTLE DISTURBANCE IN THE ATMOSPHERE THAT’S GOING TO CAUSE THESE WIDELY SCATTERED POP UP SHOWERS AND THUNDERSTORMS, ESPECIALLY AFTERNOON THROUGH THE EARLY EVENING HOURS. STRONGEST STORMS COULD PRODUCE SOME GUSTY WINDS, SOME SMALL HAIL. AND, OF COURSE, HEAVY RAIN AND LIGHTNING. NOW, THE STORMS ARE NOT GOING TO COMPLETELY GO AWAY MONDAY EVENING AND MONDAY NIGHT, SOME RAIN WILL REMAIN POSSIBLE THROUGH THE OVERNIGHT HOURS AND INTO TUESDAY MORNING. THERE COULD BE AN ACCESS TO SOME HEAVIER RAIN SETTING UP THROUGH THE FIRST PART OF TUESDAY. WE’RE GRADUALLY DRYING OUT TUESDAY AFTERNOON AND IT DOES LOOK LIKE A RATHER DRY FORECAST WEDNESDAY, THURSDAY, FRIDAY OF THE UPCOMING WEEK. SO THE HIGH RAIN CHANCES TOMORROW, A LITTLE LOWER TUESDAY. IT’S STILL A PRETTY GOOD SHOT TO SEE RAIN FOR THE FIRST PART OF THE DAY BEFORE THAT DRIER WEATHER DOES MOVE IN. SO WE’VE GOT THE WET WEATHER TO BEGIN THE WEEK TURNING WARMER, THE AFTERNOONS, BUT COOLER AT NIGHT. THAT’S WHAT LOW HUMIDITY DOES. THIS TIME OF THE YEAR. HIGH TEMPERATURES BACK INTO THE MIDDLE 80S, FRIDAY, SATURDAY, UPPER 80S ON SUNDAY. BUT ONCE WE GET PAST TUESDAY, THE FORECAST LOOKING MAINLY DRY OVER
