Travis Kelce Shares Whether He Would Star in a Rom-Com in the Future (Exclusive)
We’ll definitely have what they’re having: A reunion.
When Harry Met Sally stars Meg Ryan and Billy Crystal teased they are reteaming for a special project that is coming in the near future.
“It’s finally happening,” the pair wrote in a joint Jan. 22 Instagram post, donning looks inspired by their characters. “We’re reuniting for something iconic. Can’t wait to show you all soon.”
In the picture that accompanied the announcement, the rom-com stars sat next to each other on a couch and smiled wide for the camera while Meg, 63, donned a black jacket over a white long-sleeved button down and blue jeans.
For his part, Billy, 76, leaned into one of his character’s most iconic outfits from the 1989 film, sporting a cream white cable-knit sweater, blue jeans and white sneakers.
(While the Monsters, Inc. alum’s sweater is reminiscent of the one he wore as Harry Burns in the movie, it isn’t the original since, as he admitted to People in October, he accidentally got rid of it, saying regrettably, “I made a donation. I believe it was to UCLA’s theater department with tons of clothes for costumes. I have a feeling it’s there.”)
More details on the forthcoming project weren’t shared (although many fans in the comments believe it could be a Super Bowl commercial), but Billy and Meg’s reunion is set to be their first time teaming up for the film since 2019 when they attended the TCM Classic Film Festival for When Harry Met Sally’s 30th anniversary.
“It was thrilling when they said, 'We want to honor the film after all these years,'” Billy told the Associated Press at the event. “To see the attention that it's getting and to see how people are reacting to seeing all of us together”

Later in the night, Meg and Billy teamed up with the movie’s director Rob Reiner to share some behind-the-scenes tidbits of a few of the movie’s more memorable moments, including the fake orgasm scene that inspired the line, “I’ll have what she’s having.”
"What Meg doesn't realize is she had to do it in front of all of these strangers," Rob recalled during the TCM event. "There's Katz's Deli, and there's the crew, and the extras and everything. The first couple of times she did it good, but it needed more, and I said, ‘Meg, let me show you what I want.' I sat down opposite Billy."
And, as Billy added of the moment, Rob’s demonstration for Meg was one that "Mighty Joe Young would be proud of."
