Woodstock man killed while walking on Hueytown road
A man died after a vehicle struck him while walking on a Hueytown road.The Jefferson County Coroner Medical Examiner's Office (JCCMEO) reported Larry McElroy, 53, of Woodstock, was in the 1500 block of Allison-Bonnet Memorial Drive when a vehicle struck him while walking on the roadway.It happened just after 8:30 p.m. on May 24.The coroner's office said McElroy was taken to a hospital, where he later died.The driver of the vehicle involved remained at the scene, reported the JCCMEO.The Hueytown Police Department is investigating.
