The teens' car was pinned underneath the trailer of a semitrailer

Two teens were killed early Saturday morning when their car collided with a semitrailer in Tuscaloosa.It happened around 1:50 a.m. at the intersection of Skyland Boulevard East and Interstate 20/59.Tuscaloosa police said the 2022 Tesla was pinned underneath the truck's trailer, and four teens were trapped inside the car.The driver, a 17-year-old female from Tuscaloosa, and front-seat passenger, an 18-year-old male from Uniontown, were pronounced dead at the scene. Their names have not been released.An 18-year-old female passenger from Montgomery was rushed to UAB Hospital in Birmingham with serious injuries. A 17-year-old female passenger from Marion was taken to DCH Regional Medical Center with minor injuries. She was listed in good condition Saturday morning.TPD's Traffic Homicide Unit is investigating the accident.
