3 killed, 1 injured in crash into Jefferson County ravine

It happened on Blackie Curren Road Saturday night.

The Jefferson County Sheriff's Office is investigating a crash that killed three people and injured another Saturday night.Just before 10 p.m., deputies were called to the 7800 block of Blackie Curren Road in western Jefferson County, on a report of a car accident. When they arrived they found a black Honda Civic that had lost control and crashed into a ravine. The female driver of the vehicle, along with a male and female passenger, were pronounced dead at the scene. Another male passenger was injured and taken to UAB Hospital.The names of the victims have not been released.The Jefferson County Sheriff’s Traffic Accident Reconstruction Team is conducting an investigation into what led to the accident.
