58-year-old man found shot to death in Montgomery

An investigation is underway after a 58-year-old man fatally shot in Montgomery.

Police on Friday night identified the victim as Lomax Hornsby. He lived in Montgomery.

Hornsby was found shot to death at 10:45 a.m. Thursday after police and fire medics were dispatched to the 400 block of McGinnis Street on a report of a body. He was pronounced dead on the scene.

Capt. Saba Coleman said the circumstances surrounding the shooting remain under investigation. No additional information is being released.
