Chilly start to Tuesday, rain again by Thursday

STORMS SO YOU’LL KNOW FIRST. THIS IS WVTM 13 WEATHER. WE’VE GOT A CHILL IN THE AIR AROUND HERE TONIGHT. IT’S IN THE FORTIES AND A LOT OF COMMUNITIES AND IT WILL DROP INTO THE THIRTIES IN A FEW OF OUR USUAL COLD POCKETS. BY DAYBREAK. SOME SUNNY, WARM, DRY DAYS AHEAD, THOUGH BOTH TUESDAY AND WEDNESDAY LOOK VERY, VERY NICE, ALBEIT THE POLLEN COUNTS GOING TO BE PRETTY HIGH. THEN A GOLF LOW GREEN BRINGS IN SOME RAIN GOING INTO THURSDAY AND SOME OF THAT’S GOING TO LAST INTO FRIDAY AS WELL. BUT THERE IS NOT A DROP OF RAIN TO BE FOUND AROUND NORTH AND CENTRAL ALABAMA TONIGHT. THERE IS A DISTURBANCE WORKING ITS WAY ACROSS FLORIDA INTO THE GULF OF MEXICO. LOOK AT THE WIND ARROWS HERE. EVERYTHING COMING FROM NORTHEAST ACROSS THE ATLANTIC, BLOWING OVER FLORIDA INTO THE GULF. AND THIS IS GOING TO HELP SPIN UP AN AREA OF LOW PRESSURE CLOSE TO THE LOUISIANA COASTLINE BY TOMORROW AFTERNOON AND EVENING. LOOKING AT THE AMOUNT OF RAIN THAT STARTS PULLING NORTHWARD WITH THIS, THE WIND OUT OF THE EAST AROUND HERE ON BOTH TUESDAY AND WEDNESDAY, WHICH IS GOING TO KEEP IT DRY. BUT ONCE WE GET THAT SOUTHERLY COMPONENT, WE GET WAVES OF SCATTERED SHOWERS IN A FEW EMBEDDED BUT NON SEVERE THUNDERSTORM ON THURSDAY, THURSDAY NIGHT, AND THAT’LL GO INTO FRIDAY AS WELL, IN FACT, AS LONG AS THIS LOW IS IN THIS POSITION OVER SOUTHERN MISSISSIPPI AND THE SOUTHWEST ALABAMA, THE GULF OF MEXICO IS OPENED UP FOR US TO HAVE A FEW MORE SHOWERS COMING UP ON SATURDAY INTO SUNDAY BEFORE SOME DRIER AIR WILL KICK IN AGAIN. AND I THINK EARLY NEXT WEEK, MAYBE EVEN COOLER THAN WE HAVE STARTED THIS WEEK. SO WE’RE GETTING A MUCH BIGGER TASTE OF APRIL FOR THE NEXT 7 TO 10 DAYS THAN WHAT WE HAD TOWARD THE END OF MARCH AND EARLY APRIL WITH THE RECORD WARMTH, NO RAIN TUESDAY OR WEDNESDAY. WE’VE GOT A MEDIUM IMPACT OF RAIN ON THURSDAY AS WELL AS FRIDAY, MEANING IT WILL NOT RAIN ALL DAY LONG EITHER DAY. BUT YOU CAN COUNT ON SOME RAIN IN THE AREA, JUST ABOUT ANY POINT, BOTH THURSDAY AND FRIDAY. IN THE SHORT TERM, FORTIES IN THE MORNING, SEVENTIES, TOMORROW AFTERNOON, VERY SIMILAR TO THE WAY IT FELT TODAY. SOME OF OUR COOLEST SPOTS THOUGH, WILL BE JUST OUTSIDE BIRMINGHAM AND TO THE EAST, ESPECIALLY FROM SAY, RAGLAND UP TO GADSDEN IN CENTER ANNISTON ASHLAND LOW FORTIES HERE OVER EAST ALABAMA. COLEMAN SNEAD TO JASPER AROUND 41, BUT JUST A TOUCH MILDER AROUND TUSCALOOSA AND ANY HINT OF A BREEZE IS OF COURSE GOING TO MAKE THAT FEEL COOLER. THURSDAY THE RAIN MOVES IN SOME OF IT MAY BE FAIRLY HEAVY, ESPECIALLY FROM NEAR BIRMINGHAM SOUTHWARD. GENERALLY ABOUT A HALF INCH OF RAIN EXPECTED AROUND MOST OF CENTRAL ALABAMA. SOME ARE GOING TO DO A LITTLE BIT BETTER THAN THAT, THOUGH. HIT OR MISS SHOWERS ON FRIDAY, DRY ON SATURDAY, AND THEN SOME SHOWERS AND A FEW STORMS ROLLED IN LATE SATURDAY NIGHT INTO SUNDAY. CARRY JASON. AND YOU KNOW IT’S ALWAYS PERFECT WEATHER FOR RING SEASON AND THAT’S WHAT TIME BIRMINGHAM STALLIONS ARE IN. COMING UP IN SPORTS, WE’RE GOING TO TAKE A LOOK AT THE NEW BLING THAT THE TEAM GOT JUST BEFORE THE START OF THEIR SEASON NUMBER TWO. YO
