Police in Birmingham are investigating an overnight homicide Saturday in the Pratt community. The shooting happened shortly before 1 a.m. at a house in the 600 block of Carline Avenue.Investigators say that two men were arguing at a party when shots were fired, hitting Jeffrey Pleasant, 40, of Birmingham. He died on the scene. The suspect is not in custody, and police ask anyone who was at the party to come forward with information.
