Life is *** journey that can change in an instant or sometimes just stop completely through emergencies. Offer up the unexpected and happened in the moment. This gentleman pulled into m and jumped out of his driver's side, went to the passenger side and then he drive her away from the car and he lay her down on the ground and yell help. And Mario heard that and just jumped right into action. She was unresponsive. She went flat lines and maybe by chance or not, the universe puts people where they need to be just for you. You just went right to it. And I say I knew exactly what to do. It was June 1st and Mario here *** tied 30 year decorated army senior medic who was awarded the Army Achievement medal in 2007 was doing what he'd been doing all day for Cliett traffic control professionals. His retirement job starting stopping cars along the Seward Highway. But the army medic turned flagger saw someone needed help and he didn't hesitate. He saved that life that day and she didn't have *** pulse. Then she regained *** P. We just continue CPR in another amazing coincidence. *** nurse just happened to be in that stop traffic as well. They worked together and they kept the lady alive until paramedics came. She sat straight up Mario's quick action, saved *** life along the Stuart highway. That's Mario's boss, Lisa Keane. And you might say she's keen on her army vet employee if he hasn't touched your heart already, like he's touched mine, touched your heart because Mario is so humble about what he did that day, one of those days that somebody needed medical assistance from the army and we gave it to them. Mario still doesn't know the name of the woman he saved, but he says simply I'm happy that I was able to help her. I'm happy I was there and I'm happy she made it through. I wouldn't have known about this story. Had it not been for Lisa Ken. Army veteran, former medic working on highway construction crew jumps into action to save woman
A woman in Alaska found herself in a car that was stopped at a construction zone at the perfect time. When she experienced a medical emergency in her car, one of the crew members happened to be a former Army paramedic who helped save her life. Mario Jones, who was flagging for the construction zone, told KTUU he watched as a driver exited his vehicle, ran to the passenger side of the car and pulled a woman out and yelled for help."I just went right to her, I knew exactly what to do," Jones said. The retired, 30-year decorated Army senior medic, went right back into life-saving mode, which earned him the Army Achievement Medal in 2007. At first, Jones said the woman didn't have a pulse, but she regained her pulse as he continued CPR. Jones and a nurse who also happened to be waiting in the construction zone kept the woman alive until EMS personnel arrived on scene. "I was happy I was able to help her, I was happy I was there. I'm happy she made it through," Jones said.
