Authorities engaged in standoff with man who allegedly fired shots at officers in Mobile County

A suspect has barricaded himself in a Mobile County home Friday night after he allegedly fired shots at law enforcement officers.

The suspect is holed up in a home on Cleveland Road in Saraland, the Mobile County Sheriff’s Office told WKRG. Sheriff’s deputies are at the scene.

No officers were injured by gunfire, Fox 10 reported.

Deputies are trying to use tear gas to get the suspect to emerge from the house.
