Um We're blessed. We, we've been blessed all the path of the way it's just been and I hope that we have given 1/10 of what she's given us.
South Carolina woman celebrates 111th birthday as family, friends share stories of her life
As the country celebrated the Fourth of July, a South Carolina woman celebrated something most people will never see: 111 years of life. Miss Jenni Tucker, a lifelong resident of Anderson, was surrounded by family and friends to mark the occasion as they did last year when she turned 110.They spoke to sister station WYFF about her long life and continued strength.Tucker's pastor at Wilson Calvary Baptist Church, Rev. James C. Clark, described her birthday as a gift."The Good Book says that we're promised 70 years, and by reason of strength - four (more) and beyond that, it's nothing but Grace," Clark said. "Mother Tucker here is a recipient of greater Grace to be 111 years old.""She's an amazing woman," Tucker's niece, Priscilla Stewart, said. Stewart has cared for her auntie for the last 22 years.She shared stories of Tucker, who she said loved to drive fast in her Camaro. Watch the video below to hear her stories.Another person who has been with Tucker for decades is Chris Pracht.Tucker cared for him when he was a baby in 1954, and now he helps and cares for her and says he is "blessed" to do so. "And I hope we have given (her) a tenth of what she has given us," he said.
