Tonight: Rain returns as a cold front moves into Alabama. Some rain could be heavy with a few rumbles of thunder and gusty winds of 30+ mph. Lows will not be as cold falling to the middle to upper 50s.
Tomorrow: The cold front will move across Alabama on Friday morning with heavy rain, gusty winds of 30+ mph, and a few thunderstorms. This will make for a very messy morning commute! Then we will dry out in the afternoon, becoming partly cloudy. It will not be much colder with highs in the middle 60s.
Groundhog Day Weekend Outlook: High pressure will build across the Southeast U.S. all weekend. Saturday will be mostly sunny and pleasant with highs in the middle 60s. Groundhog Day, Sunday will be gorgeous with plenty of sunshine and warmer high temperatures around 70°. Lows will be in the 40s each night. Hopefully, Phil does not see his shadow on Sunday morning in Punxsutawney, PA!
Next Week's Outlook: It will feel spring-like next week with dry weather on Monday and Tuesday. Highs will be in the 70s. Upper-level waves will move across the Southeast U.S. Wednesday through Friday setting a chance for showers. Highs will be in the 70s.
