A Jasper resident was killed in a bicycle crash Friday evening in Walker County after being struck by a pickup truck driver.
Authorities identified the victim as David L. Wolfe, 45. Wolfe was pronounced dead at the scene.
According to troopers with the Alabama Law Enforcement Agency, Wolfe’s bicycle was struck in the rear by a 2014 Toyota Tacoma around 8 p.m. Friday night. The bike entered a ditch upon impact.
The crash happened about eight miles north of Jasper on Alabama 257 near Kayla Drive.
Troopers are still investigating the incident.
