Skai Jackson Gives Birth, Welcomes First Baby With Boyfriend

Skai Jackson's taking on a new role: mom.

The former Disney Channel star has given birth to her first baby with her boyfriend, who she has never publicly identified. Skai shared a photo of their newborn wearing green plaid pajamas and green socks on her Instagram Jan. 26, and appeared to reveal the infant's name in the caption: "Kasai."

The Jesse actor shared the news two months after she confirmed her pregnancy while reflecting on this new chapter in her life and career.

“I’m thrilled to begin this new chapter in my life–embracing motherhood and driving into new acting projects," the 22-year-old told People during a November 2024 interview. "My heart is so full!"

And since revealing her news she's had her bump on display. Including at the December premiere of her latest film Man in the White Van, where Skai sported a skintight brown dress. Below photos from the event posted to social media, her pals made sure to shower her with love, with Keke Palmer writing in the comment section, “My sisterrrr.”

And while Skai has often kept her relationship with her boyfriend out of the spotlight, when it comes to her parenting journey, she knows she a strong role model in mom Kiya Cole, who raised the Bunk’d alum as a single parent.

And Skai’s unwavering confidence has been on full display since the beginning of her acting days.

"I always just knew I wanted to be an actress,” she explained to ET Style back in October 2019. “I knew just from watching different TV shows and movies."

After getting her start doing commercials, she soon met her onscreen family—including Debby Ryan, Peyton List, Karan Brar, and the late Cameron Boyce—on the 2011 Disney Channel Sitcom Jessie.

Now, a decade since the show came to an end, she and her costars still have a lot of love for one another.

"I feel like we’re all living different types of lives," Skai told E! News in April. “A lot of us don’t even live in the same state so it’s hard to see each other. But they’re doing so many amazing, great things that I’m really proud of them. We definitely check up on each other."

As for how the Sex Appeal actor looks back on her childhood acting days, she credits her mom for guiding her through.

"I got to learn a lot being in the industry at a young age," she said. “Being able to have opportunities I feel like probably the average kid wouldn’t be able to. My mom, she’s always kept me humble. All my friends always keep me humble and that’s really important. I feel like when you have that great support system, you cannot go wrong."
