Fallen tree blocked lanes on I-65 in Blount County

BLOUNT COUNTY, Ala. —

A fallen tree has blocked some lanes of Interstate 65 in Blount County.

The Alabama State Troopers reported the downed tree blocked the right two northbound lanes of I-65 near the 290 mile marker, just north of the Smoke Rise area.

The state troopers said the lanes would be blocked for an undetermined amount of time.

The fallen tree was reported just after 7:30 p.m. July 6.
