Firefighters battle 3 separate Birmingham fires in one morning
HERE AT THE BREAKING NEWS DESK. A BUSY MORNING FOR BIRMINGHAM FIREFIGHTERS BATTLING THREE FIRES IN THE CITY. THIS MORNING. THE LATEST FIRE THIS MORNING OVER AT THE RIDGE AT CRESTWOOD APARTMENTS. THIS IS ON SUNRISE LANE NEAR GATE CITY. THE BATTALION CHIEF THERE AT THE SCENE TELLING US THEY WERE ABLE TO KEEP THAT FIRE DAMAGE TO A VACANT UNIT. HOWEVER, SOME OTHER UNITS DID SUFFER SOME SMOKE DAMAGE. RIGHT NOW, THE CAUSE OF THIS FIRE IS UNDER INVESTIGATION. BIRMINGHAM FIREFIGHTERS ALSO PUTTING OUT TWO HOUSE FIRES. THIS MORNING. BOTH OF THOSE IN THE ROEBUCK AREA. THE VIDEO HERE. THIS IS FROM A HOUSE FIRE IN CAMILLA ROAD. THE FIRE WAS REPORTED AROUND 324 THIS MORNING AND YOU CAN TELL FROM THE VIDEO HERE VERY EXTENSIVE ROOF DAMAGE HERE THROUGHOUT THE HOUSE. AND THEN A SHORT TIME BEFORE THIS FIRE STARTED, CREWS WERE BATTLING A FIRE LESS THAN A MILE AWAY ON EASTVIEW BOULEVARD. YOU CAN SEE FLAMES WITH THIS FIRE HERE.
