SHE LATER DIED AT THE HOSPITAL.

An arrest has been made in the death of a Jacksonville State student who was fatally struck by a car on campus last year.On Thursday, the Jacksonville Police Department announced the arrest of Olivia Lowry, 19, of Gadsden.Lowry was charged with criminally negligent homicide in the death of 22-year-old Leah Tarvin and booked into Jacksonville City Jail.Tarvin was struck on Wednesday, Nov. 2, while crossing a street in front of JSU's Brewer Hall; she was taken to UAB hospital, where she died two days later.While attending JSU, Tarvin pursued a major in forensic science and played trombone in the school's marching band. She left behind her parents, Mark and Cindy, and a large, extended family.Lowry, who has since bonded out of jail, is set to appear in court on August 1.
